power is a measure of speed of muscle contraction redsox not of how much that muscle can lift. power and strength aren't the same you train differently for each because they are different things. for example someone with the strength to lift 200kg lifts it in say 2 seconds their power output would be 200 divided by 2 meaning that they have a power output of 100kg/sec. whereas someone who can also lift 200kg but has trained for power could say lift it in 0.5 secs giving them four times the power output. as you can see both are as strong as each other but the second athlete was four times more powerful

first that had to have been copied from tvp and second i said power lifters do explosive exercises and they aim to do them fast but they try lifting as much weight as fast as possible so they are trying to be explosive and ripped.
