As you may know, the 2007 Summer Pro League, held annually in Long Beach, California is fast approaching. The league is a great opportunity to play in front of professional coaches and scouts from the NBA, ABA, NBA D-League, and teams from all over the world. The abundance of professional scouts means that there will also be great talent on the court, which will make this year's league great fun for everyone in attendance. If you have never been to a Summer Pro League game, this year is a great time to start. The league runs from July 8-15 at the Pyramid at Long Beach State and tickets are $7 if bought prior to the event and $10 the day of the games. However, this year marks the start of the SPL Promotional Days, which allow fans to watch the games for free on different days. Monday, July 9 is Long Beach Day, allowing free entry to all fans from Long Beach. Tuesday, July 10 is Moms' Day, during which any mom who brings her child can get in free. Wednesday, July 11 is Students' Day, when anybody who brings a current student ID can get in for free. Thursday, July 12 is Dads' Day, when any father who brings his child can get in free. Friday, July 13 allows free admission to any fan who comes wearing the jersey of his/her favorite player. Saturday, July 14 is Kids' Day, when any child under the age of fourteen is admitted free of charge.
